About Interactive Biosoftware

Rouen - Normandy

The company was founded in 2007 by a group of medical and computer scientists. It focuses on practical software applications for healthcare and life sciences, mainly in the molecular biology area.

Interactive Biosoftware is based in the beautiful city of Rouen, the historical capital of Normandy, France, in the Seine Biopolis biomedical dedicated entreprise area.

The name of the company is inspired by the idea that interactions between humans and computers give rise to powerful effects (see Peter Wegner's paper Why Interaction Is More Powerful Than Algorithms).

The company is closely connected to the internationally recognized Rouen University Hospital Genetics Department and to the Molecular Genetics research group of Rouen University (INSERM U614).

Interactive Biosoftware also benefits from rich interactions with a number of its client institutions.
